About the Ingredients
Aloe Vera ~ Aloe has been used for healing wounds throughout
the ages. According to legend, Alexander the great conquered Madagascar
in order to supply his army with aloe for their wounds. Aloe has
anesthetic, antibacterial, and tissue restorative powers, helps
to regenerate the skin. Good for burns and itching.
Burdock ~ Historically, European women wrapped their butter
in burdock leaves when on their way to sell their wares at the
market. Hence the name Burre (butter ) & dock (broad leaves).
Helps regenerate dry damaged skin.
Black Walnut ~ Prized for centuries for its beautiful
hard wood. Used as a topical antiseptic for acne, fungus, eczema
& other skin problems.
Calendula ~The ancient Romans so named Calendula because
they noticed the flowers were in bloom on the first day ( calends)
of each month. Externally, calendula is excellent for sores, cuts,
bruises burns and rashes.
Eucalyptus ~ The oil is excellent for respiratory ailments.
Helps relieve bronchitis, & asthma. Great expectorant, helps to
eliminate mucus.
Marshmallow ~ Before the advent of gelatin, the sticky
root of the marshmallow plant was used to keep marshmallows together.
Used to soothe skin problems such as inflammation, abraisions
& skin erruptions.
Mullein ~ Helps stimulate lung circulation, eases expectoration,
reduces swelling.
Olive Oil ~ Excellent for inflamed skin.
Plantain ~ According to ancient lore, plantain was a maiden
who waited at the roadside for her lover. She waited so long that
eventually she was transformed into a plant. Plantain works well
for insect bites, bee stings, welts as well as rashes & itching.
Skullcap ~ Helps to heal ulcerated skin.
Sunflower Oil ~ Natural non-greasy lubricant. Moisturizes
& helps to regenerate dry skin. Good for healing wounds.
